Who is Little Buddy?

Little Buddy, as we refer to him, has become the official mascot of The Pipers’ Gathering.  He is an extract from a work by the well-known English painter and engraver William Hogarth (1697 – 1764) called Southwick (or Southwark) Fair (1733).  You will see him on our banner at Gathering concerts, displayed in whole or in part on our website, and on our mailings.  You may see him facing left or right, in color or in black and white.  Wherever you see him, you now know that he represents what we are and more importantly what we do.

Below is the full image of the engraving (find our Little Buddy in his non-Gathering context, in the lower left-hand corner.)
